February 12, 2024: ANNOUNCEMENT: Ranges of Available SRECs; Qualification Forms due March 13
Atlantic City Electric Company (“ACE”), Jersey Central Power & Light Company (“JCP&L”), Public Service Electric and Gas Company (“PSE&G”), and Rockland Electric Company (“RECO”) will be holding an auction to sell Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (“SRECs”) on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Qualification forms are due by 12 PM (noon) EPT on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
Product Offering. In this upcoming Auction, there will be available between 3,500 and 5,300 2023 SRECs created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2022 and May 31, 2023 and between 30,000 and 46,000 2024 SRECs created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2023 and February 29, 2024.
In addition, it is expected that at the conclusion of the Auction, bidders will have the opportunity to submit a bid for a single additional block of Pre-2023 SRECs (expected to consist of 2022 SRECs and 2021 SRECs). The 2021 SRECs were created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2020 and May 31, 2021. The 2022 SRECs were created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022. The single additional block is expected to contain fewer than 500 SRECs in total.
Bid assurance collateral is not required for this auction. Interested parties must qualify by submitting the online qualification form: https://njsrec-application.com/. The Auction Manager will send returning bidders a reminder of their login information. New bidders must request an account to access the online qualification form by completing the Qualification Registration Form.
