February 28, 2014: Range of Available SRECs; Qualification Forms due March 13
Atlantic City Electric Company (“ACE”), Jersey Central Power & Light Company (“JCP&L”), Public Service Electric and Gas Company (“PSE&G”), and Rockland Electric Company (“RECO”) will be holding an auction to sell Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (“SRECs”) on Tuesday, March 25, 2014.
Qualifications are due by 12PM (noon) EPT on Thursday, March 13, 2014. In this upcoming auction, there will be two vintages of SRECs available: 2013 SRECs and 2014 SRECs. For 2013 SRECs, it is expected that between 1,000 and 1,500 SRECs created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2012 and May 31, 2013 will be available. For 2014 SRECs, it is expected that between 35,000 and 50,000 SRECs created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2013 and February 28, 2014 will be available.
Our qualification process is online. To buy SRECs in the March 2014 SREC Auction, an interested party must qualify by submitting an online Qualification Form. The Auction Manager will send instructions to all returning bidders.
New bidders must request an account to access the online Qualification Form by completing the Qualification Registration Form.
The SREC Auction Manual, the Master Solar Renewable Energy Certificates Agreement, and the Addendum to the SREC Auction Manual have been posted to the web site. Please visit the Documents page to access these documents.
