October 12, 2010: Reminder – Qualification Forms for October 2010 SREC Auction due Wednesday, October 13, 2010
To buy SRECs in the auction starting on October 26, 2010, an interested party must qualify by submitting two (2) signed originals of the Qualification Form by 12 PM (noon) Eastern Prevailing Time on Wednesday, October 13, 2010. The Qualification Form can be downloaded from the Documents section of the auction web site, www.solarREC-auction.com.
New Jersey requires that a portion of the electricity delivered to its customers be supplied from solar electric generation systems. Suppliers to New Jersey customers must comply with these requirements by submitting Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (“SRECs”). NERA Economic Consulting (“NERA”) is managing quarterly auctions that provide to these suppliers and traders an opportunity to purchase SRECs.
