Sale of Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs)

February 13, 2020: ANNOUNCEMENT: Range of Available SRECs; Qualification Forms due March 4

Atlantic City Electric Company (“ACE”), Jersey Central Power & Light Company (“JCP&L”), Public Service Electric and Gas Company (“PSE&G”), and Rockland Electric Company (“RECO”) will be holding an auction to sell Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (“SRECs”) on Thursday, March 12, 2020. Qualifications are due by 12 PM (noon) EPT on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

Product Offering. The following products will be available in the Auction:

Between 5,500 and 6,500 2016 SRECs created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2015 and May 31, 2016;
Between 16,200 and 24,4000 2019 SRECs created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2018 and May 31, 2019; and
Between 65,000 and 98,000 2020 SRECs created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2019 and February 29, 2020.

Interested parties must qualify by submitting an online Qualification Form. Bid assurance collateral is not required for this auction. The Auction Manager will send instructions to all returning bidders. New bidders must request an account to access the online Qualification Form by completing the Qualification Registration Form.

The SREC Auction Manual, the Master Solar Renewable Energy Certificates Agreement, and the Addendum to the SREC Auction Manual have been posted to the web site. Please visit the Documents page to access these documents.
