May 01, 2023: ANNOUNCEMENT: Range of Available SRECs; Qualification Forms due May 31
Public Service Electric and Gas Company (“PSE&G”) will be holding an auction to sell Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (“SRECs”) on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Qualification forms are due by 12 PM (noon) EPT on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
Product Offering. In this upcoming Auction, there will be available between 59,000 and 88,000 2023 SRECs created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2022 and May 31, 2023. In addition, it is expected that at the conclusion of the Auction, bidders will have the opportunity to submit a bid for a single additional block of Pre-2023 SRECs (expected to consist of 2022 SRECs and 2021 SRECs). The 2021 SRECs were created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2020 and May 31, 2021. The 2022 SRECs were created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022. The single additional block is expected to contain fewer than 500 SRECs in total.
Bid assurance collateral is not required for this auction. Interested parties must qualify by submitting the online qualification form: https://njsrec-application.com/. The Auction Manager will send returning bidders a reminder of their login information. New bidders must request an account to access the online qualification form by completing the Qualification Registration Form.
