FAQ-184:
The addendum to the Auction Manual states bid assurance collateral of $1/SREC is required, with a maximum amount of assurance collateral being $5,000. Does that indicate that the maximum number of SREC's any one bidder can win is 5,000? Or does that mean that if a bidder delivers $5,000 of assurance collateral they can bid on and potentially win all 44,000 to 66,000 SRECs available?
A bidder that submits $5,000 as bid assurance collateral will be able to bid on all blocks available in the first round of the Auction and can win all SRECs available. A bidder that submits less than $5,000 as bid assurance collateral will be able, in the first round of the Auction, to bid on a number of blocks corresponding to the amount of bid assurance collateral that the bidder submitted divided by the block size (rounded up).
